Prof. de Vries contributes to conference on spatial justice in Bandung, Indonesia – 15-16 September 2025 - Associate Professorship of Land Management

News:

Upon invitation, Prof. de Vries contributed with a keynote presentation at the 7th Planocosmo conference on Spatial Justice and Planning in the era of the Anthropocene (https://planocosmo.com/), held at TUM’s partner university ITB in Bandung, Indonesia from 15 to 16 September 2025.

The title of the keynote was: Spatial justice and the protection of public and private rights and interests. The Planocosmo conference brings together academics and practitioners in the fields of urban and regional planning and land management in Indonesia and abroad. The event also provided the opportunity to connect to partners of past, present and future projects of the Chair of Land Management in Indonesia. Cristina Astudillo met with several experts in the field of Sponge City and IKN development in Indonesia, to support her doctoral research.
