Prof. de Vries participated with an invited keynote presentation for the workshop and knowledge sharing session on industrial land development through sustainable civil engineering at the President University, in Jababeka, Cikarang in Indonesia on 18 September 2025.

The title of the keynote was: Responsible land management in industrial development. The workshop was attended by students in civil engineering at President University and via online participation from partner institutions in Indonesia and Malaysia. The event also provided the opportunity to connect to partners of past, present and future projects of the Chair of Land Management in Indonesia and Malaysia.
