Module Description

After the successful completion of this module students will have gained basic knowledge of the entire helicopter development process. The students first learn how to structure and manage a development project and are then tought how to verify, validate and test the developed system. Examples for different kind of tests during the helicopter development process are given. Using these skills the students gain an understanding of the function principle and subcomponents of the main helicopter component groups such as main rotor, tail rotor, gearbox, avionics and more. At the end of the lecture students will have learned how to design these component groups and they will know how these designs can be evaluated and tested.
