From June 21 to 25, 2026, the 22nd European Conference on Composite Materials (ECCM22) took place in Oslo, Norway. The conference brought together researchers from academia and industry to discuss current developments in composite materials, manufacturing, simulation, sustainability, and emerging applications.

The Chair of Carbon Composites was represented by three researchers presenting their work:

• Youssef Mraidi: Manufacturing of Carbon-Fiber-Reinforced Boss Elements for Energy Storage in Space Applications
• Chih-Yu Chen: Microstructural Analysis of Compacted Continuous Fiber 3D Printed Parts Using In-Situ X-ray Computed Tomography
• Noor Rehman: Influence of Printing Direction on Thermal Anisotropy in Large-Scale Additively Manufactured Composite Tooling
