Research Interests
My research focuses on the intersection of Geospatial Artificial Intelligence (GeoAI), Explainable Artificial Intelligence (XAI), Causal Inference, and Visual Analytics, with the aim of enhancing the interpretability, reliability, and policy relevance of spatial modeling. In alignment with the principles of Responsible AI and Responsible GeoAI, I seek to promote the ethical and accountable use of AI in geographic contexts by uncovering the causal mechanisms behind model outputs, addressing data inequality, and ensuring responsible spatial representation and visualization. Special attention is given to urban environments, population distribution, and the development of frameworks that support transparent decision-making through interpretable and causally grounded geospatial analysis.
