Shaft Power Turbine

A test bench allows the investigation of small shaft power gas turbines. This is equipped with special components and measurement technology to take into account the special features of these engines. For example, a water brake is used here to determine the power output on the shaft.

Gas turbines of this type are mainly used in unmanned aircraft with turboprop propulsion as well as remote-controlled helicopters. Due to their compact design and high flexibility with regard to the fuels used, these small gas turbines also serve as energy converters for a decentralised power supply. A number of suppliers of such compact power plants are now represented on the market.
