Research Projects
Autonomous Landing Site Detection for UAVs
Research collaboration with Institute of Flight System Dynamics (TUM) - This project is situated at the intersection of Photogrammetry, Computer Vision and Robotics, and focuses on the development of a multi-modal framework for autonomous landing site detection for (large-scale) UAVs in unstructured environments. The research addresses both hardware and software aspects, including:
- the design and integration of a synchronized LiDAR-RGB sensor stack,
- software deployment within ROS2,
- multi-modal data processing & sensor fusion for robust aerial perception.
