Curriculum Vitae
- Summer 2018 - now, Researcher, Leibniz-Rechenzentrum der Bayerischen Akademie der Wissenschaften Boltzmannstraße 1 85748 Garching bei München. Working as a researcher in the European Union Project called VECMA. I was leading the development of an uncertainty quantification framework for large-scale simulations: github.com/UCL-CCS/EasyVVUQI participated in all aspects of development – programming, testing, research into UQ methods, programming, project management, CI/CD and writing papers describing our work. Most of the work was done in Python. The project was well received by the simulation and UQ communities.
- Summer 2016 – Summer 2018, Researcher, Work Package Leader, Leibniz-Rechenzentrum der Bayerischen Akademie der Wissenschaften Boltzmannstraße 185748 Garching bei München. Researcher and work package leader in the European Union Project called ComPat. The aim of the project is to automate the execution of large multi-scale simulations. I have developed a machine learning system to predict queue wait times based on Bayesian Inference. The queue wait time predictions were then used in the job brokering system that distributed parts of multi-scale simulations across (geographically separated) computing resources.
- Autumn 2010 – Summer 2016, Lecturer, Assistant Lecturer and Laboratory Assistant, Vilnius University, 3 Universiteto St., LT-01513 Vilnius, Lithuania. Prepared, supervised and taught a computer networks course to undergraduate computer science, software engineering and bioinformatics students. Taught laboratory sessions in computer architecture, computer networks, operating systems design and the C programming language.
