We are looking for a highly motivated project coordinator with a master’s degree in engineering, natural sciences, project management, or a related field. The position will be based at the Chair of Hyperloop, where you will join the pioneering TUM Hyperloop Team in Ottobrunn and coordinate the Horizon Europe project HyperSafe.

HyperSafe brings together leading research institutions, industry partners, technology developers, and certification experts to establish the foundations for the safe certification and future operation of Hyperloop systems in Europe.

Your Profile

• Master’s degree in engineering, natural sciences, project management, or a comparable discipline 

• Strong organizational skills and the ability to coordinate complex projects involving multiple international partners 

• Experience in research project management, ideally within Horizon Europe or another publicly funded program  

• Excellent written and spoken English; German skills are an advantage 

• Strong communication skills and confidence in working with academic, industrial, regulatory, and institutional stakeholders 

• Structured, reliable, and proactive working style with a strong sense of ownership 

• Interest in innovative transportation technologies, safety, certification, and European research collaboration 

• Ability to understand technical content and translate it into clear project plans, reports, and decisions 

• Strong team spirit and willingness to contribute to the ambitious TUM Hyperloop Team 

Your Responsibilities

• Coordinate the Horizon Europe project HyperSafe and support the consortium in achieving its technical and organizational objectives 

• Act as the central point of contact for project partners and Europe’s Rail Joint Undertaking 

• Organize and prepare consortium meetings, Steering Committee meetings, reviews, workshops, and project events 

• Monitor project progress, deadlines, deliverables, milestones, risks, resources, and contractual obligations 

• Coordinate the preparation and submission of technical and financial reports 

• Support work package leaders and partners in preparing high-quality project results and deliverables 

• Maintain project documentation, decision logs, action trackers, risk registers, and reporting structures 

• Ensure consistent communication and information exchange across the consortium 

• Coordinate quality assurance, internal review processes, dissemination activities, and stakeholder engagement 

• Support the implementation of the project’s safety, certification, and standardization objectives 

• Contribute to the further development of project-management structures within the TUM Hyperloop Team
