Full Professor (Ordinarius), Chair of Geodetic Geodynamics, TUM

Director of the Deutsches Geodätisches Forschungsinstitut der Technischen Universität München (DGFI-TUM)

Prof. Seitz's research is focussed on the analysis and geophysical interpretation of observations of geometrical and gravimetrical space techniques. Time series of parameters derived from these data are influenced by large-scale redistributions of masses and exchanges of angular momentum in the Earth system. A simultaneous analysis of observations from complimentary observation systems allows for conclusions on dynamical processes and interactions within and between different components of the Earth system. Long-term changes of parameter time series provide also an insight into the effects of global change.
