3rd Term

The 3rd semester consists of required, required elective and elective modules (note: a "module" can be either one single class or can be made up of more than one class).

Students are to specialize in either

  • Earth System Science from Space or
  • Remote Sensing or
  • Navigation.

Each student has to choose one of these three possible specializations. For this purpose he or she has to complete the registration form and submit until August 31st.

In additon to the required modules, each student has to complete three required elective modules from his/her specializaton and 8 credits (valid from winter semester 2015/15) or respectively 10 credits (valid from winter semester 2019/20) worth of elective modules.

Electives:

  • 8 ECTS (valid from winter semester 2015/16) or respectively 10 ECTS (valid from winter semester 2019/20) from elective modules are required
  • The ESPACE Examination Board updates the subject catalogue yearly and will announce this as well as the examination details that go with them on the ESACE website at the beginning of the semester at the latest.
  • Through petition and an exception made by the Examination Board, a student can, as an alternative to the above mentioned subject catalogue electives, choose a subject-relevant class in the area of an examination subject from the entire TUM’s and Ludwig-Maximilians University’s lecture offerings.
