On Monday, members of the Chair of Cartography and Visual Analytics enjoyed a retreat to Chiemsee, one of Bavaria's most iconic destinations. The event provided an opportunity to strengthen personal connections, reflect on team development, and experience the natural beauty, history, and cultural heritage of the region.

The retreat included a ferry ride across Lake Chiemsee and visits to both Herreninsel and Fraueninsel, as well as a tour of Schloss Herrenchiemsee. For many of our international colleagues, the visit offered valuable insights into Bavarian history and culture. The retreat also included a team reflection session, where participants reflected on the Chair's current practices and discussed opportunities for future improvements. The retreat provided an enjoyable experience that combined cultural exploration, shared activities, and team spirit.
