From April 21 to April 22, we held our annual research retreat in the beautiful and historic setting of Raitenhaslach. This year, we once again had the pleasure of joining forces with the Big Geospatial Data Management group to share ideas, exchange feedback, and strengthen collaborations.

Over the course of the retreat, our PhD students and researchers presented current results and future directions, covering a wide spectrum of geospatial research topics. We discussed our research projects ranging from AI usage in digital twins to fieldwork in remote locations. We also took part in an interactive city tour through Burghausen and enjoyed a group dinner in the city center. 

We’re looking forward to returning to Raitenhaslach for our next annual retreat!
