Vineet Chaturvedi gave Keynote speech at the 7th Advances in Geomatics Research Conference (AGRC2023) held at Makerere University Kampala, Uganda

Vineet Chaturvedi from the Chair of Land Management gave a keynote speech at the 7th Advances in Geomatics Research Conference (AGRC2023) held at Makerere University Kampala, Uganda on the 17th – 18^th August 2023. Keeping in mind the theme of the conference which is “Geomatics Excellence for a modern society –Sustainable Fit for Purpose Solutions for the 21^st century”. The keynote speech addressed the modern trends in Remote Sensing and Machine Learning and their application in the Geomatics Field”. The focus of the speech was on using Remote Sensing and Machine Learning tools for urban land use planning related issues in the global south. The conference provided a forum for original research contributions from various Geomatics sub-disciplines e.g., Location-based services, Engineering Surveying, GIS, Remote Sensing, Land Management, integrated spatial planning and many more.
