On Tuesday, December 06 2022, the German Aerospace Center (DLR) announced the winners of the Microlauncher Payload Competition at the 2022 Small Satellites Conference (Kleinsatellitenkonferenz) in Berlin. The prize is a free launch on the first rocket of Rocket Factory Augsburg (RFA). Among the winners of the competition is a project of the Professorship of Lunar and Planetary Exploration Technologies and the Chair of Astronautics, called "AllBert EinStein". The Federal Government Coordinator of German Aerospace Policy, Dr. Anna Christmann, presented a symbolic CubeSat as award to Mr. Michael Frühauf during the award ceremony (photo).

As part of the AllBert EinStein project, several artificial, precisely measured meteoroids are going to be transported to space and actively re-entred into the Earth's atmosphere. The resulting fireballs (meteors) will be observed to gain a better understanding of the entry processes of real meteoroids and asteroids.
