Research interests
Combining process-based models with data-driven models offers a huge potential to improve existing models with the ever increasing availability of big data. In my research, I started with investigating this on prototypical, chaotic dynamical systems. Now, my research is focussed on atmospheric dynamics and how scientific machine learning techniques, GPU-programming and automatic differentiation can be incorporated into climate models.
