On 20-22 June, our team participated in the TUM Science Hackathon 2025 – “Going New Ways”, organized by TUM Junge Akademie in Munich. It was a great experience for us and a valuable opportunity to promote 4D remote sensing among European students.
We proposed the challenge “Visualizing the 4th Dimension of Earth Observation” and mentored two student teams throughout the weekend as they worked on developing innovative solutions for web-based visualization of 4D remote sensing data.
We were really enthusiastic to see how they approached the challenge and enhanced our current visualization tools. On Sunday 22 June, we were proud to see one of our student teams – team Plangers – awarded 3rdprize at the Hackathon for their proposed solution. Congratulations to both teams for their excellent work!
