A group of our researchers recently participated in the Space Resources Week 2025 organized by the European Space Resources Innovation Centre in Luxembourg. They presented their research through posters and talks, covering a variety of topics. Their contributions included studies on permittivity sensors, thermal ice extraction, water purifiucation, and molten salt electrolysis, which were well received by the scientific community and industry. The following work was presented:
- The presentation of Christian Gscheidle with the title “Rover-wheel-based Permittivity Sensors for Prospecting of Lunar Water”
- The presentation of Francisco J. Guerrero-Gonzalez with the title “Maana Electric’s roadmap towards becoming the utility company of the Solar System”
- The poster presentation of Florian Hipp with the title "Vacuum Extraction and Refining of Salt and Alloys for ISRU Molten Salt Electrolysis"
- The poster presentation of Alexandra Adiaconitei with the title "Capturing and Purifying Lunar-Derived Water with Cold Traps"
- The poster presentation of Thilo Witzel with the title “Ice2Thrust: An end-to-end ISRU demonstration of sustainable water-based in-space propulsion”
