For the LISA project an Antenne Pointing Mechanism for KA-Band was developed. The main features of this two degrees of freedom mechanism are unlimited rotation in azimuth and high pointing accuracy.
In this research area the performance of the mechanism at different environmental conditions is evaluated. This contains tests in lab environment as well as tests in thermal-vacuum environment. Furthermore the design of a gravity compensation mechanism is planned in order to conduct tests in simulated microgravity.
