The focus of the chair's research activities is on gas turbines and rocket engines, but turbomachines for stationary applications (e.g. for energy supply) are also the focus of current investigations. The chair benefits from an extensive experimental and numerical infrastructure. Close cooperation with other universities, research institutes and industry is also an integral part of many research activities.
