Doctoral Rigorosum Marco Hölzel

On 27 June 2024 Marco Hölzel defended his doctoral dissertation 'Neue Arbeit auf dem Land – Chancen für ländliche Regionen, verlassene Dorfkerne und eine Umverteilung von Arbeit im Raum' (roughly translated as 'New work in the countryside – opportunities for rural regions, abandoned village centres and a redistribution of work in space).

The research work evaluates opportunities of co-work and co-working spaces and places to re-develop and improve rural areas. The cumulative dissertation drew on several internationally peer-reviewed articles and book chapters (available via https://www.asg.ed.tum.de/en/bole/dokumentation/veroeffentlichungen/ ).
