The Munich Center for Machine Learning (MCML) – a joint initiative of Technical University of Munich (TUM) and Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München (LMU) – has opened its 2026 PhD Matchmaking Call.
The program offers fully funded PhD positions (TV-L E13) for outstanding candidates in Machine Learning, Computer Vision, and Artificial Intelligence. MCML provides an interdisciplinary environment for cutting-edge research at the intersection of data science, perception, and intelligent systems, fostering close collaboration between TUM, LMU, and leading research institutions.
As part of the call, the Photogrammetry & Remote Sensing (PRS) group at TUM welcomes applications from candidates interested in advancing 3D computer vision, generative world modeling, and multimodal perception. Research in these areas aims to make machines see, understand, and interact with the world in 3D – contributing to the next generation of embodied and intelligent systems.
