Production Technologies for Composite Parts

After completing this course, students will be capable of developing and evaluating manufacturing concepts for composite parts. Students will be able to select a suitable production process considering given boundary conditions such as production volume, geometry, tolerances, material and cost. This will allow students to adapt the design of the part according to the influence of these boundary conditions on the manufacturing process. The complete manufacturing chain for continuous fiber reinforced plastics is covered in the course, with a particular focus on preforming and infusion technologies.
