MaterialDigital

Recently, our colleague Alexander Seidel attended the plenary assembly of the platform MaterialDigital at Karlsruhe Institute of Technology. Over the two days, research partners from academia and industry came together to exchange about the current state of ongoing projects in the initiative MaterialDigital and their future goals. There were also several presentations and workshops to discuss how the digitalization could and should affect the materials sciences in the future.
Together with our project partners from Deggendorf Institute of Technology (Technology Campus Hutthurm and Freyung), the current state of the project SensoTwin was presented. SensoTwin aims at digitizing the material class of fiber-reinforced polymers used in wind turbine rotor blades.
We would like to thank the platform MaterialDigital for organizing this successful event in Karlsruhe.
