Our colleague Christian Pohl returned from his three-month research stay at the University of Oxford at the end of May. There, in the research group of Prof. Nik Petrinic at the Department of Engineering Science, he conducted drop tower tests to investigate the crushing behavior of fiber composites. During his stay, he was also able to participate in the 18th European Mechanics of Materials Conference. His conference paper can be downloaded here.
