On July 28, 2025, Mandana Moshrefzadeh successfully defended her dissertation at the TUM School of Engineering and Design before an examination committee consisting of chair Prof. Walter Timo de Vries and examiners Prof. Thomas H. Kolbe, Prof. Frank Petzold, and Prof. Volker Coors (HFT Stuttgart).
Mandana's doctoral thesis is titled “Smart District Data Infrastructure (SDDI): Information Management and Integration for Smart Cities and Regions.” Her research forms the basis for numerous implementations of the Smart District Data Infrastructure (SDDI) in municipalities, such as in the projects Digital Twin Munich, Connected Urban Twins, TwinBY, and Twin4Clim.
